For an airport at the heart of the IT industry SFO is actually a real disappointment. WiFi is no better than a dozen other underperforming airports about the world and in terms of power points - don't! Because two major UK departures (VS020 and BA284 leaving 30 mins apart) are crammed into a (I guess) 500-seat departure lounge with a choice of 3 packed and uninspiring (overpriced) eateries, you're lucky if you can get a seat let alone a seat near a powerpoint., However, SFO has one great thing going for it., If you've any important last minute work to do - do it at the hotel. You've more time than you think because it's a quick trip to the airport and unless you are dangerously disorganised you will always have time to spare (last time two times I left for the UK from SFO, contrary to my experience at all other US airport, I managed to go from taxi to departure lounge - via check-in and security - in less than 10 minutes... leaving me 1hr 50 mins of twiddling my thumbs (and SFO is not the place to have to do that)., So set off for the airport later and get more work done at t
