There is a starbucks with free wi-fi located in the lower area near the Cathay gates (1-5) i was there first thing in the morning and while there were 5 or 6 others using laptops in the small area there the speed was adequate for e-mail and checking news sites.
The free wi-fi in the cathay lounge was excellent and worked well with my expansys voip service on my Nokia E65, i got a signal by sitting on the floor up against the lounge wall !!
