I'm sitting across fgrom gates 2 and 3 now in International, similar to the post by Andy Mac here http://www.atlarge.com/comment/0,3800012705,39022245p,00.htm . I'm next to the Liberty duty free shop, on the first row of three seats, which is great because it's next to a powerpoint, which I've scored high, even though I can't see many others around, at a glance.

The wi-fi signal is quite week but might be better if I moved - but then I'd lose the powerpoint and I'm stingy right now, ahead of a 10hr flight and a 2.5hr battery.

Comfort is average - security a nightmare - the full complement of shoes off, belt off, jacket off, laptop out (which are all fairly standard) and then boarding card checked three times in 15 feet.

Bit pokey - a pizza hut and burger king and yet more slot machines just in case you hadn't had enough already. not the most comfortable but not so bad either.

McCarren airport at Las Vegas has free Wi-Fi for travellers throughout most of the airport. Just connect to the SSID 'McCarren WiFi' and start up your browser. You then just have to give your email address and you're away. I got almost a full strength signal sat by Gate 3 at Terminal 2 (International) opposite the Liberty duty free shop. There are powerpoints around the gate areas too, though hard to find ones next to seats so you may have to sit on the floor if you need to plug in.
