Wi-fi was easy to find and seemed to cover pretty much the entire airport. Average comfort and plenty of powerpoints for my laptop.

Decent uniform wi-fi across what is a large but fairly user-friendly airport. I like the fact you can walk most places and there are quaint little carts for putting your hand luggage in. KPN, as you'd expect, seemed good for wi-fi around the place.

The Communications Centre upstairs at Lounge 2 is wonderful, providing lots of places to plug in (North American receptacles included!) and plenty of flat-screen workstations all in stylish cafe sort of setting at relatively competitive rates (6 Euros for 30 mins). On the downside, Windows Mobile users will be disappointed not to be able to connect on their PDA as the WiFi connection portal doesn't work on the mobile version of Internet Explorer. Would be nice if they could lengthen the hours of the Communications Centre and perhaps even provide smaller satellite versions of it throughout the airport. While the airports main areas do have wi-fi access, there is none once you get out by the gates.

Wi Fi coverage is good in the lounges and there is an excellent communications zone. Cellular data access almost universal, power availability good but not spectacular. Comfort generally pretty good. Cost expensive. Wi Fi is charged for in the lounges I use (does anyone know of a free one?) which on top of the cost of a Business ticklet I think is mean. Most people travelling through Schiphol are not Dutch residents and data cellular roaming charges can be high. A good service, but pricey.
