PDX is the best airport in the US, well so says this traveler and Conde Nast. Food is top notch as the airport uses mostly local vendors, providing a unique experience not only for gifts, but food and amenities as well. Access inside the airport is top notch for 2 reasons. (1) It is free!!! Cannot beat the price and the fact it covers almost every gate once inside the airport. (2) Outlets are plentiful. If you need a space to plug in, you can find it not only in many open centers, but at the gates as well. If you stop in PDX, bring your laptop and enjoy a geeks paradise.

Portland's airport, which currently offers free wireless Internet access in its terminals, was recently ranked by a major travel publication as the best business airport in the United States. Being a frequent traveler through this airport, I've become quite spoiled by the free Wi-Fi, good amount of wall outlets, tasty local food and focus on creating a fun airport environment. If you're ever stuck in an airport because of weather, hope it is PDX so you can get a warm cup of coffee, log on and keep informed.
