WiFi is readily available throughout the airport, though both major providers (Optus and Telstra Bigpond) and connection to the airport site, free is available. However you can't go outside this site without paying, even in the lounges, and that's expensive. That's why i don't rate it highly.

Terminal 3 - that's the domestic one - does have good wi-fi coverage, alas, it's somewhat on the steep side - $6 for an hour. For those not packing their own laptops, there are a few terminals available by Gate 8, complete with plug sockets if you need to power up any devices.
